- Exposition
- My dad is going to let me drive the sun chariot by myself!
- I don't believe you. Prove it!
- Rising Action
- I must be dreaming!
- Rising Action
- I wish to drive the sun chariot father.
- I promise to grant your wish son. I swear it on the river Styx.
- Phaethon and Epaphus race and Phaethon wins. Then they have an argument and Phaethon lies about driving the sun chariot. Epaphus doesn´t believe him and that causes Phaethon to have to prove it to him.
- Climax
- Phaethon starts his journey towards Apollo´s palace. But on the way, Phaethon doesn´t eat or drink water and is exhausted. He lays down to rest and is then brought to Apollo´s palace on a carpet carried by 4 of Apollo´s spy birds.
- Falling Action
- At the palace, Apollo promises to let Phaethon do anything he wants. He even swears it on the river Styx, which is a sacred oath for gods. Phaethon aske to drive the sun chariot.
- Resolution
- AAH!
- Phaethon decided to take the sun chariot closer to earth to prove it´s him driving. What he doesn´t realize is that if he doesn´t stay on the middle road, he can burn up the villages below.
- I won’t take long. And after I’m done, I’ll come back up to the middle road.
- Phaethon burns his village. Phaethon gets too close and everything catches on fire. Then he goes way too high up and the earth freezes. Once he comes back down, the lakes and oceans unfreeze and cause floods.
- This is our doom!!!
- The gods see all the chaos going on on earth and so does Zeus. Zeus throws his lightning bolt at Phaethon and it strikes Phaethon and he dies. His burning body falls from the chariot into the lake.
