Work longer, and work better!
Along with the industrialization, Stalin developed the collectivization of agriculture. Kolkohzs (collective farms) were created to increase the production of agriculture. Many peasants protested against it because the state took control of everything (the crops, prices, salaries, production and so on), and all the benefits were used to invest in the industrial growth. This led to the deaths of many people leaving in the countryside, because they didn't have the basic necessities to live.
