- It had only been a few weeks since we found the body of Slade. Now here we are, standing at the grave of him. I was confused on why Mr. Baummer had a smirk on his face. It was honestly quite sad knowing he was dead. Especially since we don't know who committed the crime. I guess now we will have to find a new freighter. Although he was terrible, it is still sad.
- I wonder who would do such a thing...
- So upsetting, and he was such a good man...
- We walked and talked until we got back to the store. When we got to the door, a sudden thought came to my head. I asked him a question about Slade but he just shrugged his shoulders and closed his eyes. He told me to go inside and change, and then we would start to work again. I listened and got inside, I just want to know what had happened.
- Do you know what happened, and why they would do that?
- Just go check the thermometer so, we know what the weather is outside.
- There was a sudden knock on the door. "Al, continue to study, I will be right back!" I did as he said while he went out, yet he didn't tell me who was there. I went to the window and saw that a policeman was there and talking to Mr. Baummer. By the expression on Mr. Baummer's face, I knew it wasn't good.
- How do they know?!
- Sir, we have to take you in...
