- Mars leaves both of his sons to die on the bank of the Tiber river. He does this because he never wants both of his sons to take his place on the throne.

- Luckily, a wolf comes to recuse them. The wolf's name is Lupa and she raises Remus and Romulus.

- When they grow up, Remus wants to build the city capital on Aventine Hill but, Romulus wants to build on Palatine hill. So they spilt up. (Next box)

- Since they do not agree, they wait for an omen from their father. Mars sent an omen indicating who he chooses depends on the number of vultures he sends.After they get an omen, they still cannot agree. Remus states that he sees 6 vultures while Romulus tales he sees 12.

- Since they cannot agree, Remus builds a wall around his section, which Romulus mocks. Romulus mocks the wall because he wants to get more people into his section.
