- That's a homeless person. It means he doesn't have a place he can stay in. He is asking for help from others because he might not have the resources.
- Mom, why was that man asking for money and staying there?

- Well, there is a lot factors. A big reason is the rise in rent and housing. Many low-income people may become financially burdened when rent prices rise. Often times they will spend so much on rent that they will hardly have any money left over. When they run out of money, they are left with no home.
- Ok, but why do they become homeless?

- It's not that simple. Since they lack an address, it can be challenging to accept job applications, and many employers turn away applicants without one.
- Can't they get a job? That way they don't have to live here and beg?

- Additionally, some homeless people might lack the education or skills that are currently required. They might not have any formal schooling or work experience. This can make their options limited.

- When looking for work, homeless people may encounter discrimination. Employers hold negative stereotypes about homeless people, believing them to be untrustworthy or disgusting. They are denied the opportunity to hold a steady, well paying job.

- Of course! You can provide them with anything they need, such as clothing, food, shelter, water, and cash. They will feel better as a result. Just being kind to them will make their day.
