  • Navigation Act
  • The Navigation Act was a series of laws intended to promote Great Britain, and other British Colonies. This law basically removed trading to other countries, and controlled what England and it's colonies could import. More and more rules were being added which made it harder for the colonies to trade.

  • Sugar Act
  • The Sugar Act put taxes on sugar, molasses, wine, silk, indigo, and coffee. April 5th, 1764 this act was passed. The colonists did not like it, and it made all of the items more expensive and they didn't want to pay tax.
  • WE DON'T WANT TO PAY TAXES FOR YOUR DEBT! WE DON'T WANT TAXES!
  • The Stamp Act put taxes on printed materials like wills, contracts, playing cards, and newspapers. Parliment passed the Stamp Act on March 22, 1765. This act, and the sugar act angered colonists greatly and they protested.
  • we can't even get printed items anymore or newspapers and even sugar without it costing so much money! We hate taxes!
