Hi there, my name is Jayden and today we will be going over scenes from books for my final
Final 2021: Today I will be talking about the two books we have read together as a class, Of mice and Men and The Odyssey. I will be going over some of the most impact scenes that changed the story in a dramatic way.
This scene I have recreated here is from the book Of Mice and Men. This is the part of the story where George has to kill his best friend Lennie because of what he had done. This scene here is especially sad because Lennie is oblivious to what is coming. For George, it is especially sad because he has no other choice, either give him a quick fast death or have him have a slow painful death.
This is the scene that has prompted Lennie's death. In this scene Curley's wife and Lennie were having a conversation in the barn. Eventually while they were talking Curley's wife asked if Lennie wanted to touch her hair. Being the clueless person that he is he does this but holds on too long. This then freaks her out and as she tries to get away Lennie grabs her, and one thing leads to another, Lennie ends up breaking her neck and killing her.
This is the first scene in the book Of Mice and Men. George and Lennie were traveling to Salinas to find work after they gotten chased out of town for something Lennie had previously done. This is the event that kick starts the whole story. By going to Salinas its leads to the eventual death of Lennie.
This scene is inspired by the works of Homer, The Odyssey. This is the scene where Odysseus ha returned home and finds out out that all the lords have been trying to wed his wife and destroying his home. In the scene he is punishing them for what they have done and murdering and killing every single one of them for what they have done.
This is the scene where Odysseus and his men are kidnapped by the Cyclops. The Cyclops had trapped Odysseus and his men and ate his men. one by one. This caused panic among the soldiers. This led to a series of events that led to Odysseus and his men attack the Cyclops and make him go blind and praying to Poseidon that Odysseus never returns home. Because of this it takes even longer for Odysseus to get home to his wife.
