The Battle of Thames happened on October 5th, 1813, in Canada. General William Henry Harrison killed and defeated Tecumseh, the leader of the Native American resistance. This was a major U.S. short lived victory!!

On August 24th, 1814, Great Britain attacked Washington D.C. This set the U.S. Capital and the White House, or the "President's Mansion," on fire. Dolly Madison even saved many national treasures such as, historical documents and artifacts from the White House!
The Battle of New Orleans, on January 8th, 1815, was a very serious loss/defeat for Great Britain. This battle was led by General Andrew Jackson and was actually after the war had already officially ended! Britain moved in to attack New Orleans and Andrew Jackson rallied his troops to fight! Overall, this battle was very important for America!
