More than half a million Americans in the US are homeless, almost half of which living on the streets with no shelter.
Homeless individuals can be of any age, some even as young as toddlers or babies. These children are denied of their right to a proper education and access to basic human necessities such as decent meals, clean water, and proper healthcare.
As the homeless population increases, many cities respond by clearing out homeless communities and either putting the homeless individuals in jail or shelters where disease, violence, and theft are all common.
You can make a difference in this fight against the rise in homeless populations. Make choices to volunteer at homeless shelters, donate to local homeless shelters, advocate the issue, and involve others.
