- The European Christians attacked the Muslims but the Muslims had better tactics and are stronger and smarter than the Crusaders.The Muslims were more educated.
- The Seljuk Turks attacked the Byzantine Empire.
- The Seljuk Turks (Muslims) took control of the Holy Land.
- The Byzantine Empire called help from the European Christians so they can stop the Muslims.
- Pope Urban ll, made a speech about fighting the Muslims. He said that for the people who fight will be rich and all sins will be forgiven and the people who do not fight against the Muslims will never get their sins forgiven.
- Lets become rich!!

- The Christians from Europe became scared of the Muslims. They didn't want the Muslims to rule them. So Pope Urban the second made a speech to fight the Muslims in the Middle East.
