- We will be departing in less than twenty minutes. This slight delay is due to the unexpected rain showers.
- Twenty minutes passed and the rain had begun to slow. The flight attendants informed them of an approximate departure time of twelve minutes from that point. Twelve minutes passed, and the rain was still steady. So, they added another twenty minutes.
- It’s all going to work out, and even if it doesn’t, we’ll have a family vacation to the airport to remember forever.
- After those twenty minutes passed, Carmen was becoming impatient with the delays and the rain. Preston could tell Carmen was getting worried about catching their connecting flights. She was tapping her feet on the floor and mumbling under her breath.
- Just as she began to calm down, the flight attendants announced that the passengers were to exit the plane due to mechanical failure. They were to be transferred to another plane, but had to switch terminals in the large Philadelphia airport.
- Once they reached the other plane, the flight attendants said the flight would be leaving immediately, and the passengers needed to fasten their seat belts. The Phillips family all fastened their seat belts and looked out the windows as the plane began to speed up on the runway, preparing for takeoff. As they reached the sky, Carmen could finally take a deep breath and relax; they were on their way to paradise.
