- Exposition
- Your testimony has holes and I need details...Right, let's go back to the start. What were you and the deceased doing at that hotel?
- We were told to go there. We'd been seeing each other for a couple months. Someone was trying to blackmail us
- Conflict
- If you want me to find out, if you want me to get you out of this without jail time, don't lie to me again.
- It all started three months ago..
- Rising Action
- Adrian is accused for the murder of his ex-lover Laura. His lawyer hires a defense attorney named Mrs. Goodman to help with the case.
- Conflict
- Adrian keeps changing his story on what happened the night of the murder and Mrs. Goodman tell him that she can't help him if he doesn't tell the truth.
- Falling Action
- Adrian tells his story from the true beginning to the end. He had been on a trip with Laura and they had crashed into a car killing the driver. They had hidden the body but got blackmailed from an unknown source. They went to an hotel to give ransom money but Adrien got knocked out and Laura was dead when he woke up.
- Resolution
- Adrian realizes that Mrs. Goodman could actually protect him from going to jail. He tells her that he lied. The man in the car crash had been alive. Laura had told the man's parents. He killed Laura when he realized it had been a plan to turn them both in.
- I killed laura
- Mrs. Goodman leaves the apartment and goes to another apartment across the street. Adrian realizes that the pen she had been writing with had a built in recorder.
