  • I was reading this article this morning and saw that there's a new drug that slows Alzheimer's cognitive decline by 35%!!! Can you believe it? We should look into for your mom.
  • Sounds too good to be true. We should look into it though.

  • What do you mean too good to be true? How do you even begin looking into it?

  • It's actually pretty quick and easy to fact-check. You can use tools like Snopes.com.

  • What if the answers aren't there, or if I'm still unsure?
  • Then you can look for corroborating sources and see if other reputable news outlets are reporting the same story.

  • It's pretty simple, just 4 ways to make sure news is valid. Use a fact-checking tool, find the original source, verify the source, and cross-check with other sources.
