- After all students were divided into groups, Afrina, Irdina, Dini and Wafa decided to discuss about the project assignment.
- Miss: All of you must form a group with 3 or 4 members to do a project assignment.
- Every group must choose 1 chapter as your proposal project.
- Wafa: I think we can choose chapter 2.
- They meet for discussion and start discussing to choose chapter, contents and so on.
- Afrina: Hey, what chapter that we should choose for this proposal?
- Dini: Chapter 2 is about The System Unit.
- Irdina: Yes, i agree.
- Wafa: The system unit types is smartphones and laptops.
- Afrina: System unit is contains system’s electronic components and selected secondary storage devices.
- Irdina: What is the system unit?
- Dini: The other types is wearables. It's contain embedded computers.
- Dini: Did you guys know about system board?
- Wafa: The system board contains a variety of electronic components.
- Afrina: Additional system board components is slots and bus lines.
- Irdina: Bus lines connect parts of the CPU to each other and various other components on the system board.
- Irdina: The example of standard ports is USB, Ethernet, HDMI and Thunderbolt.
- Wafa: Ports connect directly to the system board. What is types of ports?
- Dini: The example of specialized ports is eSATA, MIDI, MiniDP, VGA & DVI and FireWire.
- Afrina: Standard Ports and Specialized Ports.
- Irdina: As you guys know, cables used to connect external devices to the system unit via the ports.
- Dini: Power Supply is computers require direct current (DC) power converting alternating current (AC) from wall outlets or batteries.
- Wafa: Character encoding standards is a unique sequence of binary representation of a particular letter, number or special character.
- Afrina: A look to the future what we can see is Wearable computers, Send and receive email whilejogging, Maintain your personal schedule book and Remember the names of people at a party.
