Amber Hidalgo Period 2
During Erikson's first psychosocial development stage, infants are very dependent on others. It is important for an infant to develop trust in their caregiver. For example, Lily is crying and her mother is their to show her comfort and affection which allows Lily to establish trust in her mother.
During Erikson's second psychosocial development stage, toddlers will start to develop self control and will begin to be more vocal about their own likings and skills. For example, Lily tells her mom that she likes pizza and wants it for lunch. Her mom agrees with Lily.
During Erikson's third psychosocial stage, children begin to assert themselves more often through interaction and play with peers. For example, Lily is asserting herself by suggesting to play tag with her friends and them agreeing to play with her.
