- Charles I crowned king of England.

- Charles I was crowned king, and he tried to act like his father but he messed up.
- Trouble With The Parliament
- What are you gonna do I am king not you incompetent parliament members.
- This means war!
- Charles get back in your lane and stop these actions!
- The parliaments powers were slowly growing and Charles I was getting mad since he was losing power. Charles now need permission to issue new taxes. And the parliament dealt with money. And the king had to obey the laws and he couldn't break laws and that made Charles mad. Charles was also mad because 1215 the nobles used the Magna Carta to change the parliaments role. And the parliament made him sign the Petition of Right.
- The Fight
- Charles I was being a bad king. He was being lenient towards Catholics and him and his advisors didn't believe in freedom of speech. People were given brutal punishments they didn't deserve. Charles made a Court of Star Chamber for people who opposed him and he was the judge, so he could do anything he wanted to. Charles thought he could do whatever he wanted to even kill people. Charles was getting out of hand so then the parliament wanted to respond.

- The members of the parliament were gaining power and they were getting Charles mad since they were telling him what to do. But Charles didn't obey them and that provoked the Civil War.
- Charles had formed an army for the fight and the army was called the Cavaliers, the Cavaliers were rich warriors. And the parliament had formed an army called the Roundheads, which were poor people. And then the war started. The leader of the Roundheads was Oliver Cromwell.

- The Roundheads had won the war and defeated the Cavaliers. Then Charles was taken captive. Charles I was defeated in the Battle of Naseby on June 14, 1645.

- Charles was executed because of his actions and people were pleased and the parliament took control but England remained a monarchy. In the trial of Charles he was beheaded.

- After the death of Charles I, his son Charles the second was crowned king.

- The Civil War had some new Acts and Laws, The Adultery Act of May 1650, The Blasphemy Act of August 1650, and the law to allow Puritans freedom of worship, and compulsory attendance at church was ended.

- Oliver Cromwell became a military dictator.
- Charles II dies, after Oliver Cromwell defeated him in a battle. Then Cromwell became the virtual dictator of England. But he didn't serve as a dictator he was the protector and their still was a government. And Charles II was kept 9 years in exile and then dies of illness.

- James the II was deposed in the Glorious revolution, so he was forced to flee and was replaced by William III and Mary II. And also permanently established Parliament as the ruling power in England.
- William and Mary became king and queen of England. Now the absolute Monarch was over after the document of The Bill Of Rights was signed and this was the Glorious Revolution. England became a constitutional monarchy. Mutiny Act, Triennial Act, Act of Settlement, were all formed and the English Civil War.
