  • In the principal's office...
  • My daughter is very self conscious about her skin and needs to wear makeup. She can make it less noticeable but please.
  • I'm sorry but we can't let any non-medical exemptions from our rules.

  • The PTO Head.
  • Is there really nothing you can do? My daughter is too self-conscious to go to school without make-up. She's worried about being bullied.
  • Sorry, but the only thing we can do is talk to the school board, but I doubt that would do anything

  • This is a problem that exposes many others. Schools are simply holding power over students unnecessary. Some students can be harmed by these restrictive rules whether they wish to hide a blemish or otherwise need a way to express themselves. Expressions such as clothes and make-up show off peoples interests and lead to bonds with peers. School in todays age is mainly meant for social interaction and metal growth, so limiting either is detrimental to a student's want to learn.
  • Our school doesn't have these limits but many do so it is good to form opinions about problems of people around you even if it doesn't directly affect you
