The Most Dangerous Game Storyboard
Storyboard Text
- Rainsford, a hunter, is sailing on a yacht towards the Amazon so he can hunt jaguars there. He is sailing through the Caribbean sea when he hears what he thinks is a gunshot. Trying to get a closer look, he slips and falls off his yacht.
- Meeting General Zaroff
- Rainsford, using his survival instincts, swims back to shore in a hurry. He then realizes that he cannot see his yacht anymore. While scouting the area. he sees blood on a few patches of grass. This makes him think that this is where the gunshots were fired.
- Dinner
- After a bad night of sleep, Rainsford explores the island in hopes to find someone who can give him food. As he is exploring, he stumbles upon a palatial chateau in the middle of nowhere. As he moves closer, he sees Ivan, a giant and powerful man, pointing a revolver at Rainsford's heart. Ivan immediately stops pointing his revolver when another figure starts to walk down the hall.
- Humanities Triumph
- When General Zaroff walks outisde, Ivan immediately salutes him. At that point, Rainsford immediately knew that he was a powerful man. After some small talk, Zaroff invites Rainsford inside for dinner. Because he was hungry Rainsford immediately accepts his offer and they both go inside.
- While they are eating, they start to talk about hunting. Zaroff starts to talk about how he invented a new animal which was exciting to hunt. General Zaroff's new animal was a human and as soon as Rainsford figured that out he started to get uneasy about Zaroff. Zaroff challenged him to a game of hunting, man vs man, mind vs mind.
- Zaroff gives Rainsford a knife, fresh hunting clothes, and food and gives him until dusk to hide. Rainsford sets trap after trap and ends up killing Ivan. After getting stuck in "Death Swamp", Rainsford jumps into the water to escape Zaroff but, when Zaroff goes to his bedroom, he sees Rainsford who challenges him to finish the hunt. Rainsford ultimately beats Zaroff, feeds him to the hounds, and sleeps in a comfortable bed.
