- King Louis XVI had increased taxes for the third estate as he was in financial debt.

- The third estate locked themselves in a tennis court and did not leave until they wrote a new constitution.

- Us women should also get voting rights
- We should get the same political rights as men.
- The reason the Storming of the Bastille happened was because an angry mob demanded for weapons and ammunition. There was a huge battle that took their and the mob killed the prisons' governor and carried his head around the streets like a spike. The Storming of the Bastille marked the beginning of the French Revolution.

- Louis XVI was sentenced to death by a court on the charge of treason
- The main demand of women was that they enjoy the same political rights as men. Women were dissapointed that the constitution of 1791 reducd them to passive citizens. They demanded the right to vote, to be elected to the assembly and to hold political office. Only then, they felt, would their interests be represented in the new government
- Napoleon crowned himself emperor of france and set out to conquer neighbouring countries. He saw his role as mordeniser of Europe. Many people saw him as a leberator who would bring freedom for the people. He introduced laws such as protection of private property.
