- Theme: "Loyalty is not always a choice one can make, Loyalty can be forced."Prospero had freed Ariel, but then enslaved him. Ariel and Prospero worked contently with each other. However, when Ariel wants to rather be free than to serve Prospero, the wizard uses his power more harshly towards Ariel and only is nicer when Ariel kindly serves him.
- Theme: "Even the people you trust can betray you."Sebastian and Antonia plot against King Alonso to kill him in his sleep. While during their attempt Gonzalo wakes up, and Sebastian and Antonio have to make an excuse that they were trying to protect the King from lions.
- Theme: "Love endures all things."Miranda and Ferdinand are speaking to each other. Miranda asked Ferdinand if he loves her. And Ferdinand declares his love for her. And during this Prospero spies on them to see if the love they have for each other is real.
