  • 52 B.C. Caesar defeated the barbarians North of Rome.  He became a popular military leader.
  • Roman Civil War
  • For Caesar!
  • 49 B.C. Caesar refused to disband his army and crossed the Rubicon River in an attempt to take over Rome.
  • Caesar Declared Dictator
  • 49 B.C. Roman Civil War - Pompey the Great is recruited to protect the Roman Republic.  He knows that he is no match for Caesar.  So, he abandons Rome to build an army that can match Julius Caesar.
