- The allies tried to appease Hitler to try and stop World War 2 from happening. They gave Hitler territory that Germany had to give up in the Treaty of Versailles.
- D-Day
- In September 1939, Hitler invaded Poland officially starting World War 2.
- Holocaust
- On December 7, 1941, the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This event brought the United States into World War 2.
- Yalta Conference
- June 6, 1944, the United States, Great Britain, and Canada launch an attack on Normandy France to liberate France from the Germans.
- Hitler attempted to systematically kill the Jewish people by placing them in concentration camps. At the end of the war, the Jews were freed from these camps.
- The "Big Three" met at the Yalta Conference to decide what to do with Germany after they won the war in Europe.
