- kemani-what is a sediment ,when we were in science class in school we learned about it but I just wanted to know the back stories of a sedimentary rock . egypt-basically it a part of a sedimentary rock and its like the little particles in a sedimentary rock - so in a short a sediment is small pieces of a rock !!!!!ashaya - and here's a picture and I think its formed by weathering - ms.costa would be proud that we know that !!!!!egypt -this is sediment.
