- tim the cashier was the best man on the job there was only one thing he didn't know and that was how to multiply fractions.
- Tom was a great cashier. There was only one problem. He couldn't multiply fractions.
- Pat is a Mathematican.
- Hi Tom! You look sad, why?
- I don't know how to multiply fractions Pat!
- That's okay Tom, I'll teach you!
- DEAL!!!
- My daughter just texted to say that she is on her way to the Ice-cream store. Let's meet her there!
- Pat's daughter is named Madison. She is very good at math just like her mum.
- Oh goody!
- My mum said that I could teach you how to multiply fractions.
- Ohhh! I get it!
- Choose two fractions like 6/5 and 2/3. First, you multiply the numerators. Then, you multiply the denominators.
- 6 X 2 = 12 5 X 3 = 15 6/5 X 2/3 = 12/15
- Ooh! ooh! 12/15 reduces to 4/5, right?
- The End
- Yes! That's right, now you've multiplied a fraction!
- 12/15 = 4/5
