- Hey, there is a bonfire tonight. I was wondering if I could go?
- Yeah as long as your home by midnight. And no drinking
- Climax
- Come on man, it's just one drink
- Fine
- It is lunchtime at school and Tate is talking with his friends Andrew, Olivia, and Oscar. Oscar just brought up how the seniors are having a bonfire later that night and that they could come if they wanted to.
- Falling Action
- Sure
- During dinner Tate asked his parents if he could go to the bonfire with Olivia, Oscar, and Andrew. They told him it was fine as long as he was home by 12p.m and No drinking. They didn’t want him drinking and driving.
- Resolution
- Sorry son, your parallelized from the waste down.
- When Tate got to the bonfire everything was cool, he was having a good time. That was until more seniors showed up and most came with alcohol. Tate didn’t care, he didn’t plan on drinking until Andrew was starting to make fun of him for not even having one drink.
- Theme
- Soon that one drink turned into 2 and 5 and so on. But as the time got closer to 11:30 he knew he needed to get home. So he got in his car and started driving. Soon he couldn’t see straight and thought he was right around the corner from his house so he could make it. After that he blacked out.
- He then woke up in the ER. His parents and friends were there. He was told that he would never walk again after the accident.
- He realized then that if he hadn’t given into peer pressure then maybe he wouldn’t be in the hospital and he may be at home with his mother instead.
