- The Big Bang! What is it?
- It is the idea that the unisverse began as just a single point, then expanded stretched to grow as large asit is right now.
- The Big Bang is a theory as to how astronomers explain the way the universe began.
- the universe has been expanding since the beginning (The Big Bang)
- The galaxies outside of our own are moving away from us and the ones that are farther away are moving faster.
- How the universe is expanding.
- How do we know the universe is expanding?
- Edwin Hubble discovered that the more distant a galaxy is from us, the faster it appears to be receding into space. This means that the universe is expanding uniformly in all directions.
- Light waves are forms of moving energy made of tiny microscopic particles called protons. They're sometimes refered to as electromagnetic waves.
- What're light waves redshifted?
- Red shifted is the waylength of light that is stretched, so the light is seen as 'shifted' towards the red spectrum.
