Storyboard Text
- After Odysseus returned home, he met the goddess Athena. Athena told him to disguise himself as a beggar and visit the palace.
- "She warns him that his palace is overrun by more than 100 suitors who, believing Odysseus is dead, want to marry Penelope and take over his fortune.
- After Odysseus revealed his true identity, the suitors tried to rebel against him and his son. But, Odysseus, with his bow, and his son, killed all the rioting suitors. Odysseus, getting revenge on all the suitors who had taken advantage of Penelope and her wealth for years, left no survivors.
- "Make up his bed for him, Eur 'ykleia. Place it outside the bedchamber my lord built with his own hands. Pile the big bed with fleeces, rugs, and sheets of purest linen."
- "Woman, by heaven you've stung me now! Who dared to move my bed? No builder had the skill for that-unless a god came down to turn the trick. No mortal in his best days could budge it with a crowbar. There is our pact and pledge, our secret sign, built into that bed-my handiwork and no one else's!
