- Norah and Daniel, who are both 16, are at prom, and they're having a great time. After the dance is over, Daniel says, "Hey, my dad won't be here to pick me up for about a half an hour. Do you want to, uh, go in the bathroom and have sex?"
- Consider your values
- Some options could be things like having sex without condoms, run down to the nearby Walmart and buy condoms and then have sex, or not having sex.
- Make the decision
- A possible outcome could be having a good time with no consequences. Of course, another consequence could be Norah getting pregnant, or both sets of parents getting very mad at them. Of course, either of them could catch an STD from the other.
- Reflection
- Although Norah and Daniel both have a sexual attraction to each other, both of them are raised Christian, and know the risk of getting too emotionally attached to someone, only to break up later.
- Norah decided to tell Daniel "no, I don't want to start having sex yet." Daniel took it well, as he could see the logic behind her answer without Norah even having to explain what it was.
- At the end of the day, everything went alright. Norah and Daniel went to prom and had a lot of fun together, but both came to the conclusion that they didn't need to introduce sex yet. They stayed together, and were still happy.
