- I am so sorry to hear that, I also am trying to get money to be back with my family.
- I am Ezikial and I'm trying to reach Canada. I am a runaway slave and I really just want to get back with my family But I really need money to pass and I am very poor. I don't know what I will do but I'll figure something out
- Ya I really wish I could be with them right now but hopefully soon.
- Character vs Nature
- Ahhh! Everyone go up into the loft so the bear can't get us!
- I know this is character vs self because Lyddie is questioning if she should go to Lowell and become a factory worker. She is not sure what she should do therefore turning into a conflict she needs to solve for her self.
- This is character vs society because Lyddie is unaware of Ezikial's situation but once they start talking she realizes they have more in common then she thought.
- This shows character vs nature because a bear try's to come into Lyddie's house and she is faced with a challenge. She takes charge of her and her family and gets them to a safe place away from the bear.
