  • good morning students! Don't forget to put your devices away when the bell rings!
  • How come Ms. Par?
  • I will talk more about it in class!
  • It's the first day of a new school year! The education department decided that students have been too focused on their electronics more than learning so they passed down a law saying that phones should not be out throughout the school day. Ms. Par is excited about this new law as she has noticed that students grades and attention span hasn't been so good ever since phones were allowed during school hours.

  • Happy first day! I want to inform you all that this year phones are not allowed to be out during the school day!
  • But Ms. Par, What if there is an emergency?
  • Yeah! I want to be able to message my parents.
  • Ms. Par breaks the news to the students and they were not happy. Ms. Par was excited to see how the kids will do without their devices. She is very anti-technology during school hours as she realized that kids progress has been decreasing. She was hoping that this new rule will help kids realize that they can focus and grasp what they are being taught better.

  • Hey girl! How was your first day? How did the kids take the new phone policy
  • It went well! The kids were obviously not happy about it, but I can't wait to see what their progress will now look like now that they won't be sticking their face into their phones.
  • After school, Ms. Par met up with her friend and talked about how the first day of school went. And from their conversation... it seems like Ms. Par is excited to see how the student to student and student to teacher interactions will look like. She can't wait to compare the progress being made from kids when they are on their devices vs. not being on their devices.
