under chemical property matter can be divided into pure substances and mixtures let us learn about pure substances first A substance, which is made up of only one kind of particles and is free from any kind of mixture with constant structure is termed a pure substance. we can further categorize pure substances into elements and compounds . under elements we have metals, metaloids, and non-metals . under compounds we have organic compounds and inorganic compounds .
lets understand what are compounds . compound is a chemical substance formed by a union of parts or elements .organic compounds are chemical compounds containing carbon hydrogen bonds. whereas inorganic compounds are any substance with 2 or more chemical elements that lack carbon hydrogen bonds . elements on the other hand can be defined as a substance which cannot be spilt up into two or simpler substances by the means of chemical methods of applying heat, light or electric energy.
sir can you explain what are mixtures and the types of mixtures ?
A mixture is made when two or more substances are combined, but they are not combined chemically. there are two kinds of mixtures homogenous and heterogenous mixtures .A homogeneous mixture is a gaseous, liquid or solid mixture that has the same proportions of its components throughout a given sample. A A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture with a non-uniform composition. The composition varies from one region to another with at least two phases that remain separate from each other, with clearly identifiable properties. i hope children u have understood all of this ?
yes sir...we have completely understood the properties of particles in matter .thank you sir .
