- I want to see new places and meet new people.
- Aponi-Tolau was bored with the view with the peak.One day he ran away from the mountain peak and followed the coursed of a river.The river brought him to the sea.
- Mother Langaan, I need help
- He reached the Tower Rock, home of Tau-mariu Lord of the sea. It was guarded by 9 maidens, maddened by teasing maidens, Aponi-tolau lashed with the hook and hit Humitau.
- Tau-mariu please stop the flood!
- Humitau,the favorite of Tau-mariu. He was dazzled by her beauty. He lifted her into his raft and swiftly rode toward his mountain home
- Tau-mariu called the waves and the armies of tuna fish. He ordered the waves to lash the raft. Langaan, goddess of the wind and the rain, sent down the strongest wind to sail raft ashore.
- Aponi-tolau rose and saw that the waters had reached the peak of Cordillera. Humitau, rousing her with cold fingers she screamed in fear.
- The couple decended from Cordillera. They planted trees, flowers, and raised animals they begot childrden to replace the thousands of people who had perished from Tau-mariu's rage.
