- I am cheated!
- At the pearl buyers building
- I'm sorry but the pearl is worthless
- At Kino and Juana's house
- We should get rid of it!
- No! It will bring us wealth!
- On the beach
- We must leave! They will come after us now that you've killed a man!
- Kino tries to sell the pearl, but all of the pearl buyers don't give him a fair price. So he plans to go to the Capital.
- At the house
- Kino tries to stop someone from stealing the pearl, and gets hurt in the process. Juana says they should get rid of the pearl but Kino refuses to do so.
- In the hills
- We are being followed!
- When Kino returns home from stopping Juana from getting rid of the pearl, he gets attacked again, and kills a man.
- In the caves
- Juana runs back to the house, finds its on fire, and saves Coyotito, while Kino finds out his canoe was destroyed, so they have no way to escape.
- Kino and Juana escape North, but discover they're being followed by trackers, so they move to the cliffs.
- The trackers catch up to the family, and manage to take the pearl from Kino. The family then returns home, exhausted and disappointed, but at least they're together.
- Well at least we're together
