Storyboard Text

  • Later...
  • It would be here.
  • In the beginning, all rocks start as magma or lava. All of it is underground and released by volcanoes.
  • When the magma is released, it flows down the volcano and if it cools too quickly it becomes an Igneous rock.
  • Igneous rocks can sometimes look like glass and are also made when other rocks melt.
  • *Ring, Ring*
  • The rock cycle is where rocks go from one form to another under the right circumstances. I already talked about two forms, (Igneous and Magma) so we only have 2 more to go.
  • A few more hours later...
  • I didn't! (Also... whoare you?)

  • Did you know that obsidian is an Igneous rock? Granite and diorite are good examples of Igneous rocks also.
  •
  • This sidewalk is just a like sedimentary rock. They are made of sediments, (Small rocks or sand) that decompose from weathering and erosion. Sandstone would be a pretty good example.
  • Oh, and fun fact... Metamorphic and sedimentary rocks are very similar. Both being made of other rocks compacting and cementing.
  • Sedimentary rocks also contain fossils in most cases. One place you can find them is on the bottom of the sea-bed.
  • Metamorphic rocks are made when rocks experience heat and pressure and being crushed by one another underground, causing it to have ribbon-like layers. They also can also be crystals. Like gneiss and marble.
  • The End!
