- Exposition
- I'm exhausted from working from home on a Sunday night. I should visit my mother tomorrow because I didn't see her in a long time.
- Rising Action
- I need to augment my car with fuel to go to my mother who lives in another state.
- Climax
- It wasn't me it was the dog.
- Why would you do this!
- Jack hadn't seen his mother in a long time so he decides to visit her. She lives in another state.
- Falling Action
- I shouldn't have come here.
- He then drives to the state and arrives at his mother's house. His mother made him lunch to welcome him.
- Resolution
- I'm sorry.
- His mother came from the kitchen to see all of the food on the ground. She was really angry and started to gibe and shout at Jack even though it was the dog who dropped the food. Jack was a stolid person and he didn't show much emotion.
- Theme
- Jack was upset and was going to leave, but he had a tentative feeling to go back in and apologise to his mother even though it wasn't him.
- He went back in and apologized. He cleaned the mess and they then both sat down in opulent comfort and laughed together.
- It's okay.
- The lesson of this story is to never leave an argument with a loved one hanging.
