The pencil test was a way for the government to determine whether or not someone was black. If the pencil stayed in your hair you were black, and if it fell out then you were= white.

How did Trevor get his bike stolen?
A girl that Trevor had never saw before came up to him and asked to try his bike. Trevor thought he was making a friend but instead she stole it and biked away.

Trevor went to pick berries under the mulberry tree but then some bigger kids started pelting him with berries and calling him names.
She had thought Trevor was beaten up and bleeding all over, but it was really just the red juice from the berries that was all over him.
He is very aggressive and has a big temper. Gets out of control so much that he doesn't restrain from beating up a young boy.
