Antigone found herself standing before her brother, Polyneices. Polyneices is desperate. Everyone in Thebes has given up on him. His last resort is to come to Antigone in a dream and beg for her help.
Polyneices, my dear brother, what do you want from me?
I want you to know that I never wanted to fight Eteocles, but I could not let Thebes fall into the wrong hands.
I know it will cause grave danger and i'm deeply sorry, but Antigone, please don't let them feed me to the dogs!
I want you to take my dead body and bury it, way over yonder, so that no person can find you breaking the laws that King Creon, our uncle, has imposed.
Antigone awoke from her slumber, realizing it was all a dream. Not only was it a dream, but it was a message from Polyneices. She knew what she had to do.
That was a dream? If I'm gonna attempt to bury my dear brother, I better commence my journey.
Antigone followed through with her plan, traveled far beyond the castle, dug a grave, and properly buried Polyneices. He could now rest peacefully, being that he had a proper memorial for the eternal soul.
You better be eternally grateful, brother, for I am risking my own safety burying you.
