  • What Is Anthropology?
  • After reading the chapter and watching the videos, my level of understanding on what anthropology really is increased.
  • I learned how most anthropologists take a holistic approach. In addition to depending on the type of field of anthropology, they would collect data through either inductive or deductive approaches
  • Something that I also learned and found very interesting was how there are multiple subfields in anthropology, which can all lead into very adventurous and informative careers. For example, applied anthropology can be used in the medical field where you can visit other places outside of the country and perform medical practices to help other people from different cultures, while also learning more about different cultural beliefs which are not commonly known
  • Becoming much more familiar with the idea behind Anthropology, I am really looking forward to learning more about it. It is incredible to be able to realize how there is much more to this field of work than what meets the eye. And only based off of the first chapter of the book, it is noticeable that there are so many specific details to what makes a culture special.
  • Hello, my name is Eduardo!
  • Usually when I am asked to explain what Anthropology is, I mostly think of how it is this area of study which focuses on different cultures and how people within those cultures act during a day to day basis. Before the lesson, I would not have been able to give a clear and much more in depth response to what anthropology actually is
