- Phillips moms and Phillips dad are arguing about wether they should leave or not because the German are attacking. Phillip and his mom decided leave
- Climax
- When Phillip and his mom try to return to the US their ship is torpedoed by the Germans. Phillip wakes up and realizes he is on a raft with, a black man and a cat. A few days later he becomes blind from being hit in the head when their ship was torpedoed.
- Falling action
- Phillip and Timothy weren’t getting along because Phillip would get angry and would be racist toward Timothy. Phillip slowly learns that he should be grateful for Timothy, they started work together. Timothy taught Phillip all the basic life skills even though he’s blind.
- Resolution
- I CAN SEE AGAIN!!!!!
- A hurricane hit the cay. Timothy heard the sound and prepares for it. He tie finishing pole and hooks and knives to the trees. He then ties himself and Phillip to the tree. They both survive through the storm, but the storm weakens him and he die later after.
- Phillip buries Timothy. He uses the survival skills Timothy taught him to help him survive. He rebuild the brush and signal fire. He then hears a plane flying overhead and lights it with sea grapes to make the smoke so black so you can see it. A boat is sent to rescue him.
- Phillip is rescued from the cay. He then goes to his parents and takes on three surgeries so he can see again. He never forgets Timothy he likes to hang out with the black people on the shore because it reminds him of Timothy.
