- In this scene olivia is currently grieving her dead brother when orsino's servant valentine had visted and was told by her handmaid that oliva will cry and cry over the lost of her brother duke orsino thinks that if she had so much love for her brother magine the love she would have for him

- This is when the captain agreed to help viola disguise herself as a man so she could work for duke orsino
- In this scene, sir toby and maria are arguing about his late-night drinking habits and how terrible sir Andrew, the man sir toby brought with him to meet Olivia as a potential husband.
- In this scene, Sir Andrew comes in and starts to try and woo maria but his plan failed miserably and she leaves the room in disgust
