Storyboard Text

  • The Turn can be found on line 9. Throughout the Poem, the audience is told not to miss the person in the poem. The poem is trying to remind them of love instead of their death. Before the turn, the poem's tone is depressing and reeks of death. Although after the Turn, it is almost as though the poem is yelling at the audience. It is telling them to remember them through love and not dwell on the fact that they are gone.
  • This line represents the Turn in the poem. This line changes the tone of the poem making it more hopeful and up-lifting. The poem sounds as if they are yelling at the reader telling them it is okay to mourn. However, there is a time where it is healthy to move on. My image shows the woman reading the poem he wrote. He is telling her to continue reading especially when she is feeling weary about moving on.
  • O! If I say, you look upon this verse
  • but let your love even with my life decay
  • This line is telling the reader to move on. That they need to let the love they had decay with their death. They're telling them that it is okay to move on and be happy with their life. The line means to remember the memories, but let the love go. My image shows the woman moving on with a new man. It does show her dead husband in the background, happy that she is moving on.
