Storyboard Text
- Rikki Tikki Tavi is swept away from his home by a summer flood and is 'adopted' by a British family living in India.
- Rikki Tikki Tavi begins to explore the garden where he meets Darzee the Tailorbird and his wife who warn him of the cobras that also live in the garden; Nag, and his wife, Nagaina.
- Rikki Tikki Tavi learns of a plot to kill his humans and ambushes Nag as the snake lies in wait for Teddy's Father in the bathroom. Rikki Tikki Tavi fights bravely and Nag is killed (after Teddy's Father is awakened by the noise and brings his shotgun)
- After conversing with Darzee and his wife and overhearing Nag talk to Nagaina, Rikki Tikki Tavi learns where the cobra eggs were hidden. He has Darzee's wife act as a decoy to distract Nagaina and then smashes all but one of the remaining eggs.
- Rikki Tikki Tavi chases Nagaina and follows her into the cobra's lair. The other garden creatures watch in anticipation as even experienced adult mongooses do not usually risk following a cobra into its hole.
- Rikki TIkki Tavi emerges from the hole, bruised, but victorious. He reunites with his humans and continues to live with them and keep the garden safe from now on.
