As the scene opens King Arthur is in a dream. In the dream he sits upon a chair on a wheel below awaits a pool of snakes. At the end of the dream the chair flips and he falls into the pit where he is eaten alive by the snakes.
As the scene opens King Arthur is meet Sir Gawain surrounded by women. King Arthur mentions that Gawain is dead and Gawain responds by warning him that if King Arthur fights tomorrow he will surely die.
King Arthur decides not to fight Sir Modred the next day and instead come to a peace deal. However after the meeting Modred draws his sword to kill a bee. However, King Arthur believes this is an act on his life and a battle insues.
During the battle Sir Lucan is fatally wounded and dies because his guts feel out. King Arthur believes he died and honorable death protecting his lords life. He then tells Sir Bedivere to quit crying.
As King Arthurs last command he asks Sir Bedivere to take excalibur to the lake and throw it into the lake. Bedivere fails to do so two times and then the third time he does it and then the lady of the lake reaches out and grabs it.
The last scene the Morgan Le Fay and two other women come on a barge. Arthur gets on and lays in his sister's lap tells Bedivere that he is going to heal in Avalon. Bedivere begs for him to stay but the barge leaves. Bedivere then lives a life in the monastery and believes the Arthur is buried there at an unmarked grave.
