- Some procedures are that you should not joke around or play around in the machine shop it's very dangerous. Also, use your common sense and don't do dumb stuff. You should also throw the stuff in the proper place so it can go to the correct place.

- You should always dress appropriately for class and labs so that you can be safe and also not harm others. This would include no loose clothing and you need to have closed-toed shoes.

- In case of a fire you should be able to identify the proper fire extinguisher for the particular situation.
- Developing Safe work habits is good for you, so you can keep yourself safe along with others. You should constantly be in the flow of doing the job right and safe.
- For General Tool safety, you should never carry a sharp-pointed object in your pockets. Make sure your tools are properly sharpened. Some machine saftey is that you never operate a machine until all guards are in place
- Data sheets are used for keeping track of who is doing what and what is being used as well as tracking what you need to do just in case you mess up it's there for you to use.
- Keep the floor around the machine clear of oil. Don't talk to anyone while you're using the machine. Never remove chips with hands always use a brush. And if you need medical attention let the people in charge in the room know so nobody else gets hurt.
