- Well, here we are! Our new home.
- We can't go back now. I'm sorry but this is the best that we can do.
- Mom, I don't want to live there! Please, let's go back to Korea!
- Ch. 2
- Go back to your own school!!
- The Lee Family was very successful. Heyona was very happy with her mom and dad. Until a fire burned Mr. Lee's office and their mansion. They had no where to go so they went to America in hope for a new life.

- But when they arrived at America, they couldn't find a job and the house was a piece of junk compared to their house in Korea. Mr. Lee got a job as a Korean BBQ restaurant, while Mrs. Lee got a job as the waitress. Their job didn't pay enough but no one will trust immigrants for important jobs these days.

- Life wasn't all that great for Heyona either. After Heyona changed her name to Heather, she went to school. But at school everyone was white. The white kids bullied her.

- But then Heyona saw an another new girl. She was Mexican. Heyona became friends with her.
- Heyona and Guadalupe (Lupe for short) become friends from the start. People bullied Lupe to but she always stood up for herself.
