- In the 1800s, 2 German scientist discovered things that contributed to what we know as the cell theory. These scientist were Mathias Schleiden and Thedor Schwan.

- The Cell Theory
- Mathais Scheiden was botanist, he studied many different plants. In 1883, he had finally come to the conclusion that all of all of plants were made of cells.
- Are we made of cells?
- Wow, we are made of cells!
- In 1839, Theodor Schwann the other German scientist who studied animals came to the same conclusion that all animals are made up of cells.
- Yesss, all animals are made up of cells!!!
- Those ants are smart!
- After Schwann made his discovery, he reached out to Schleiden and they both started to work on the cell theory. But...they had a big disagreement as whether cells come from preexisting cells.
- Oh come on, I just want my cheese!
- No they don, they come from free-cell formation!!
- Are you dumb, cells come from preexisting cells!!!
- Whatever leave me alone!
- In 1855, the argument between the 2 German scientist ended when another Scientist named Rudolph Virchow proved that cells did come from other cells.
- Finally, I can eat in peace!
- Rudolph actually got his information from Robert Remak without permission, which let to more problems.
- Sorry my dear friend Schleiden, but my research shows that you are wrong!
- Haha you see, I was right! Now go cry about it!
