- Arthur was a young boy who lived on the outskirts of a small kingdom. He and his mother spent their days trading goods at the nearby marketplace. Arthur had a very happy childhood, he had a great mother and a nice home, but soon, all of that will change.
- The king of this land had just recently inherited his title, he was new to the kingdom but had a great vision for how he could transform it into something special.
- The king gave the order to clear out the majority of the people living in the outskirts of the kingdom. He had his army remove everyone from their homes. Arthur thought this was the worst it could get, but he was wrong.
- The soldiers were also given orders to capture all able bodied people who were displaced. They were to be sent to work on the king's master plan, a massive farm which would increase the trading output of the kingdom by nearly tenfold. With such a large task, there were of course many camps set up to house the workers, Arthur and his mother were sent to different camps.
- Arthur's first day working in the fields was not a good sign of things to come. Guards were armed and constantly watching all the workers. Arthur met many other unlucky people who were taken from their homes to work for the king. He wondered how someone could do such a terrible thing.
- Arthur learned that things only continued to get worse. All the workers were locked in cramped and disgusting sheds to spend the night. They were guarded all hours of the day.
