Storyboard Text

  • "You control your mouth, son, or I'll---""I don't beat you, and you know that."
  • In chapter six of, Touching Spirit Bear, Cole and his father get into an argument in the middle of Circle Justice about how Cole's father beats him. This is a significant point in the novel because it give the people attending Circle Justice some insight as to why Cole may be the way he is.
  • "Or you'll what?""Beat me?"
  • In chapter three of, Touching Spirit Bear, Cole, after lighting the shelter that was built for him on fire. Stands and watches it burn as he thought about how nobody cares about him and how nobody understands him. This was a significant event in the novel because it shows the reader Cole's anger/rage and how easily it can influence his actions.
  • "Nobody cares about me. Nobody understands me"
  • In chapter eight of, Touching Spirit Bear, Cole gets attacked and pinned by the Spirit Bear after trying to kill it. Cole tried to kill the Spirit Bear because it wasn't afraid of him, and that upset him. This event is significant in the novel because it helps Cole understand that he isn't better than everyone and everything else and ultimately changes his character as well as the way he acts and the things he thinks.
