- Germany was running out of resources towards the end of the war. They lost berlin to the Soviet Union. They declared war on the USA thinking that we would be distracted by the Japanese in the pacific. They underestimated the Russian winter,
- The USA and Russia seemed like friends after the ending of WW2, but it was all a facade. They were actually in a nuclear arms race or better known as the cold war. Each country would teach its citizens that the other was bad. They were friends in face but enemies behind the curtain.
- The Manhattan project was a research and development project. It was focused on devolving atomic bombs and weapons. This project made the little boy and the fat man. They would continue to develop bombs after the war.
- The bombing of Hiroshima happened after Japan refused to surrender even after threats of atomic destruction. The little boy was dropped on Hiroshima decimating the city. it killed 146,00 people.
- The bombing of Nagasaki only happened because Japan refused to surrender once again after Hiroshima was bombed. This new bomb the fat man was dropped onto Nagasaki. It killed 80,000 people.
- Japan surrendered after the dropping of the fat man on Nagasaki. This brought about the end of WW2. But it also initiated the start of the cold war after other countries including russia learned about atomic bombs.
