- Hello everyone, I am the MOUTH. I am the one responsible for grinding Kayla's food or physically breaking it down with the help of the teeth and the salivary gland This process is called as ingestion. Mechanical digestion and initial chemical digestion also starts within me. This is carried out by molecules that speed up chemical reactions called enzymes.

- I am the ESOPHAGUS. I am mouth's second brother. I am a long and skinny tube in which Kayla's grinded food pass through to reach my third brother. I am approximately 20 cm long. I secret mucus and move food from the throat to the stomach using muscle movement or wave-like muscle contractions called peristalsis.
- Hello everyone, I am the STOMACH . I am a J-shaped muscular bag that stores food and breaks it down it into tiny pieces. I mix food with gastric juices that contain enzymes to break down proteins and lipids. Hydrochloric acid inside me kills bacteria and the food that is already inside me is called chyme.
- I am the small intestine. I am a little over 5 m long and lies in the abdominal cavity surrounded by the large intestine. Inside my walls, the chemical digestion of Kayla's food is completed and most of the absorption and assimilation of the food's nutrients takes place. My walls has finger-like projections called Villi, to increase surface area.
- I am the large intestine, and I am 5 feet long. The continuation of the absorption of water takes place within me until the semisolid consistency of feces is achieved. Mineral salts, vitamins, and some drugs are also absorbed in the blood capillaries of myself.
- Hello eveyone, I am ANUS, I am the one responsible for letting the food waste leave Kayla's body after my siblings the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine gets the nutrients and minerals that we need. This process is called egestion and it takes to 30 - 40 hours to complete. And now, that's our role for Kayla's digestion of food. Goodbye Grade 8 and Good luck.
